Picasso at the Lapin Agile
by Steve Martin
directed by Gabe Ferrazzo
The scene for the play is a historical (and still existing) tavern in Paris, France, called the "Lapin Agile"...the Agile Rabbit...named for a painting of a rabbit escaping from a cooking pot.

The play explores what might have taken place if

the young Pablo Picasso (who was known to have frequented the Lapin Agile)
had met

the young Albert Einstein there.
The play takes place in 1904, a year before Einstein publishes his "Special Theory of Relativity", and 3 years before Picasso paints "Les Demoiselles D'Avignon".
